Vtg Thompson Neutrodyne Battery Operated Radio W Battery Compartment Looks Great

Vintage Thompson Neutrodyne battery operated radio with the hard to find battery compartment stand.  The radio comes complete with all 5 01A tubes (4) of which tested good.  All of the knobs/dials turn smoothly and properly.  The finish on the radio  is all original and has simply been cleaned and polished with a professional wood wax.  Unfotunately there is some minor damage to the body along the front edge of the radio, near the lid.  On the left side the piece is missing and there is a crack in the panel - see photo, while on the right side someone made a crude repair many years ago.  Despite these defects, the radio still presents well.  The instruction set up sheet is still present on the inside of the radio and the wiring instructions for the batteries is still present in the battery compartment base - along with an old battery.  The battery compartment base is attached to the bottom with hinges.  The key that would keep it locked shut is missing.  The radio measures 29" long, 14" tall and 13 3/4" deep.  Hard to find this radio with the base.  Do not miss out on this unique radio.  In order to ensure safe delivery, the radio will be double boxed.   Do not hesitate to make an offer, all will be considered.
