TIMMONS B-LIMINATOR - ANTIQUE RADIO BATTERY ELIMINATOR.
For Sale is an 1924 Timmons Radio Products Corporation "B-Liminator" . This is a Battery Eliminator (D.C. Power Supply) for an Antique Radio of that time period. T is an embossed number on the bottom (009095) but I don't know if that is a Model, Serial, or Part Number. On the Top are Voltage Outlets (Binding Pole) Marked -B, +B, and DET. On the Front are two Adjustments Knobs Marked Increase DET & Increase AMP.. The Original cord is missing. I have not tested it otherwise. I unscrewed the three terminal posts and took the top plate off and also did not see any apparent damage. I have no Technical Data for the unit and do not know what kind of circuit is located in the can (Probably some Condensers / capacitors & Resistors) or how the components are potted. T is a receptacle for one 4 Pin Rectification / power tube (I do not know what rectifier tube is used on the unit - but the tube would be one with a key pin on the side). I did find an individual discussion on the internet concerning a slightly different Timmons B-Liminator model and the individual said that they used a 1N4007 Diode in place of the tube (Filament to Plate - I think you would need two) for testing and it made theirs operational.
