Description
I am thinning out my 1920/30s AM radio collection a bit more. For sale is a 1920sHeacock Radio Phone
TRF receiver with a set of 3 good 199 tubes.
This receiver has mainly been used for display. Please note all of the labeling on the receiver front panel is in script; an unusual, artistic touch. Please see the first and second images. Heacock
was a small company from the Pacific northwest. I will be including some historical information about the company and its owner. It's pretty interesting (see the last image)
Cosmetically: The front panel is in very nice condition with clear labeling; though because it is in script it can be hard to read.
The cabinet is not very fancy. But it is clean and in very good condition. The top has the usual smudges, minor scrapes and minor dents.
The chassis and
components
are very clean and in very good condition. It has a good finish and looks nice. This is a nice looking cabinet and receiver. Please examine the pictures closely.
Operationally, the radio is in very good shape and works well. The components are in good condition and work as they should. It is a 3 tube TRF receiver. The receiver comes with a
set of 3 good 199 tubes included. As you can see from the images the power wires have been labeled and are connected to the set via a plug. This is a very nice radio; virtually mint. You will need
headphones, good antenna and
a power supply to use this radio.
Please examine the pictures closely as they are part of the description. If you have questions please ask them before bidding. Because of age, the receiver is being listed as "for parts or repair". It is being sold
AS IS
.
Shipping will be via FedEx ground, insured and tracked. I do not accept overseas bids; only CONUS. The winner will have 3 days from the end of the sale to pay. Thank you for looking.
