ANTQUE 1920'S ATWATER KENT MODEL 20 TUBE RADIO BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL AK-20

Description

I'm selling this Atwater Kent Model 20 (Model 4640) which has been in my collection since the late 1970's. I have owned this radio nearly half of its life, given it was likely manufactured in the 1924-25 range.
The solid Mahogany wood cabinet is excellent for its age with very few and only very minor bumps or scratches. Remarkably the original paper labels are completely in tact on the bottom of the cabinet, untouched since they were originally placed there by the builders in the AK factory in Philadelphia. This is very unusual. The metal front panel is clean with only very minor blemishes and minor wearing around the dials. I have not made any changes to the radio in the years I have owned it.
This AK-20 has been on a shelf always in a climate controlled environment in my home.
The AK-20 radio uses is a Tuned Radio Frequency circuit and was manufactured in about 1924.
The front face is also in excellent original conditions with clear, complete and original calibration markings on the knobs. I have never attempted to test the radio so I am selling it as is.
If you are looking for a great looking all original AK-20 "Big Box" this one is an excellent example!
