Antique Freshman Masterpiece Table Model Tube Radio C. 1924

Description

Item up for bid is a fabulous antique table model radio called the Freshman Masterpiece. This piece was found with some tubes inside of it that show no damage. Radio was NOT tested as the cords show significant wear to where the radio needs to be rewired. Interior of the radio could use a good cleaning and exterior could use a light cleaning with knobs needing a cleaning in the nooks and crannies.
Interior of the lid has an original label tacked to it with tacks along the bottom corners with the label being loose across the top and the paper as a whole. Item is marked with a serial number of A 11374. Exterior body shows some wood wear around edges and corners with some generalized finish wear.
Back side of the body shows a horizontal crack. Left side of the body shows a vertical crack. We believe these are seam separations as both are straight lines and look more like dried glue causing separation than damage. Epoxy for the the rear wooden trim also shows some looseness. Body of the radio measures 9" top to bottom by 19-5/8" wide across the base by 8-5/8" in depth at the base.
