    1940s Hollywood 8/16 Editor Splicer, Metal, Good Winders, Viewer Issues, Retro Decor
    The editor itself appears to be in good condition, the light works and the winders spin easily.
    WINDERS: Winders are in good shape and wind easily. On this model, pushing the winder handle in engages the gear and pulling it out disengages.
    VIEWER HAS ISSUES: I put film through it but could not figure out why the image wouldn’t line up. There is no film edge gear on this model. Film just slides through. See photos.
    THE POWER CORD: the power cord has been modified with a Bakelite switch. Not a pro job, but it works. The cord is a little stiff but not brittle and I don’t see any cracks.
    Splicer: untested.
