1923 Atwater Kent Breadboard .. Type TA Unit .. 3 Tube Det/Amp .. VG Cond

Description

Nice, totally original AK type TA three tube unit [detector and two amplifier stages] ... reasonably clean [I have not attempted to clean or polish anything] ... the original brown paint on the can is to the point of requiring a repaint but the Bakelite top is in excellent condition with no cracks or splits. All the brass components are original and all of the binding post tops are matching originals as well.  Inside shows no signs of being tampered with or repaired .. one transformer is good and the other has one open section. Both are largely visible in the tar filling the base and should be easy enough to chip out an area large enough to hide a new replacement audio trans.
The only obvious problem is a tight split in one of the tube sockets [visible in the third picture] .. socket still holds the tube tightly and the split is unlikely to enlarge. Tubes shown for display and are NOT included.
The TA unit measures approx 6.5" diameter X 3.5" tall and well packed shipping weight will be 4.5 pounds from zip code 24012. Local pick up is always an option as well.
