    Description

    A beautiful example of the
"PRIESS STRAIGHT 8 Loop Operated Radio with the orginial Priess Loop Antenna".
Priess was Lee deForest's chief engineer before leaving to start his own company in 1925. This Straight 8 is an excellent example of one of the first radios made under his name. In spite of having 8 tubes it is not a Superhet but a design unique to Priess. It is hard to find this radio and even harder to find the matching loop especially in this condition. The Loop has its original wire mounted on a Bakelite "folding" frame. To protect it during shipment the loop will be folded and packaged separately. The 8 Globe DISPLAY tubes will be carefully, separately wrapped and packaged in the radios battery compartments. This is a RARE Radio and Loop combination RARELY found in this condition. It includes a nice
WORKING SET OF TOWER SCIENTIFIC HEADPHONES
. The radio is untested but complete and in excellent condition and would be a perfect candidate for electrical restoration (if needed). A nice addition to anyone's collection.
